Position Summary:

The Front of House Team Member will support the regular operation of the Front of House (FOH) Tasks include selling products, making coffee and tea, managing product inventory and providing friendly and helpful customer service to each customer.

This is a front-of-house-based position and requires collaboration with FOH Manager and with kitchen staff to fulfill tasks and essential functions. The responsibilities and duties of this position as described are representative of those an employee must perform. This is not comprehensive and other duties may be assigned. The FOH Team Member represents the company and therefore is responsible for working in a professional manner and will seek to promote the company’s values and creed.

Essential Functions:

• Provide every customer with exceptional service, promoting a warm and inviting atmosphere that reflects the Wren's Nest Baking Co. brand. Address customer inquiries, feedback, and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Support the daily operations to promote efficiency, cleanliness, and compliance with health and safety standards.
• Possess an understanding of our gluten-free product offerings to assist customers with menu choices, answer questions about ingredients, and accommodate dietary preferences or restrictions.
• Monitor the products that are available and communicate with FOH Manager and kitchen staff when the products are running low.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, including processing transactions and handling cash accurately.
• Operate the coffee/tea maker and create accurate and appealing drinks.

Regular Duties:

• Assist the FOH Manager with opening duties and perform duties as assigned.
• Serve each customer that enters Wren’s Nest Baking Co. with warmth and friendliness, and take their order accurately and swiftly.
• Continually restock all drink supplies throughout the day, including milk, chocolate powder, flavoring, syrups, cups, lids, add-ins, etc.
• Make drinks using the coffee/tea station accurately and quickly, and alert the FOH Manager if there are any errors or issues with the machine.
• Sweep the floors and clean up the tables throughout the day to ensure a clean and tidy eating and serving space.
• Periodically check the restrooms and other shares spaces and take out the trash as needed.
• Assist the FOH Manager with closing duties and perform duties as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

Behavior Expectations:

• Ability to read and follow directions on the POS and order tickets
• Ability to operate the coffee machine and POS system
• Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations calmly
• Communication with leadership regarding attendance, giving as much time as possible for any absences or delays
• Maintain professional oral and written communication
• Maintain professional appearance

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent standing and walking, in and around bakery FOH
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 10 pounds
• Occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds or more
