Why Gluten-Free?
The story behind our bakery
Wren's Nest Baking Co. is an exclusively gluten-free, celiac-friendly bakery serving the greater Tacoma area. The dream of a wholly gluten-free bakery began back in <year> when Laureen, owner of Wren's Nest Baking Co., traveled to <location> with her loved ones. They spent much of their days exploring the area, enjoying the local foods and indulging in a variety of baked goods. It wasn't until Laureen's gluten-free family member was unable to partake in much of the delicious food, that she realized how much of a need there was for high-quality, gluten-free options. The mere thought of children never getting to bite into a freshly-baked cookie or slice of pound cake because of their gluten allergy was enough to encourage Laureen to create the change she wanted to see!
Our bakery was born out of a passion for elevating gluten-free baked goods with quality ingredients and flavor that even gluten-lovers will keep coming back for. In an attempt to replicate traditionally glutenous baked goods, gluten-free foods have hidden behind too much sugar for years. Here at Wren's Nest, we took a different approach - highlighting each ingredient that makes our menu naturally gluten-free. We make it our mission to be a destination for stellar baked goods that just so happen to be gluten-free.
